Gardens in Ireland are magical.  They transport you to the imagination of the past, yet keep you in the ever-changing seasons of the present.  Garden tours have been a long-standing tradition of Time Travel Tours.  This year, we have a few special trips planned for you, the gardener!  We are very excited to be welcoming Mike Darcy on tour as well as a few surprise visits along the way in our first tour of the season.

 Our first tour of 2012 will be May 28 through June 7 with Portland, Oregon’s garden guru, Mike Darcy.  Mike, the voice of KXL Radio’s In The Garden with Mike Darcy, will be hosting our tour this year around the southeast and south of Ireland.  We have so many fun things planned for this tour and we hope you can join us.  This trip consists of garden tours with a few GIY (Garden It Yourself) projects at Lismore Castle and a cookery school with celebrity chef, Paul Flynn in Dungarvan, County Waterford.  We put this tour on the easy scale.  You can find more information here: In the Garden with Mike Darcy – Ireland 2012.

 On our second tour of 2012, we will be restoring a Victorian Rock Garden at Enniscoe House in County Mayo.  The team will be helping in the garden at Enniscoe with a few touring days added at either end of our trip.  This will be the first in a series of long-term projects throughout Ireland.  This is an opportunity to be philanthropic and to be a part of something larger than ourselves.  Preserving history is a formidable job and one that we take pride in - to create and keep our “Sense of Place.”  You will find this theme throughout our tours as we feel responsible to educate the traveler.  We tread lightly, give back and plan for future generations.
